Build Your Own Bath Table [with Wine Glass Holders!]

Remember when I started our bath renovations?! Almost a year ago! This bath tabular array is the lastly DIY projection from that space. What’s an amazing bath without beautiful bath accessories? When nosotros renovated our bathroom, I briefly considered getting rid of the bathtub altogether, but I only couldn’t business office amongst it! Nothing relaxes me similar a warm bath, a candle, a book, too a drinking glass of wine. So clearly I had to bring together them all together amongst a bath tub vino drinking glass holder!

Materials: 

Pine board

Your favourite woods stain

Waterproof/resistant urethane

Tools: 

Router or router table

Table saw or round out saw

Hammer too nails or boom gun

How Do You Build Your Own Bath Table?

Measure your bathtub width. Take the width too add together 4″, this volition live your width for the tray (2″ overhang on each side). Take your pino shelf board too it cutting it downwards to that width. Then cutting it to the proper length (ours was 8″)

Using a router table, scroll saw, or jig saw cutting a  1/4″ broad grooved “L” into the board. If desired, y'all tin piece of job a drill fleck too drill a 1/4″ diameter hole at the terminate too at the xc deg corner of the “L” to assistance inward cutting out the “L” shape. [Note: if your vino spectacles accept wider stems, y'all volition ask to brand a wider groove!]. Our grooves were 10″ from the centre of the board.

Cut 2 1.25″ x 5″ guides to become on the underside of the board (to foreclose the board from sliding off the tub). Attach the guides to the underside of the board. They would live gear upward at 1/4″ smaller than the within width of the tub. The within of our tub was 27″, too hence our guides were gear upward at 26.5″ apart. Use complete nails too gum to attach the guides to the bottom of the board.

Sand too complete the bath tray to your desired look. I used my favourite nighttime stain. Then piece of job a waterproof/resistant urethane to complete bath tray (as it volition live inward a moisture environment).
