First… a bedchamber update!
Here’s where the room was at the cease of concluding calendar week ^^. Honestly, nosotros haven’t accomplished that much on the actual room this week. Once the flooring was down, it was fourth dimension to showtime putting the trim back dorsum up. Trim piece of occupation is SOOO fourth dimension consuming. It’s too thus difficult to pass SO much fourth dimension on projects inward this room that volition barely live noticed, but it had to live done. And it had to live done right!

Here’s where nosotros are now. I know it doesn’t hold off similar much, but the trim back is in, the trim back is sanded, too it’s primed. Phew. Almost there.

The photograph below shows the trim back inward the room earlier the reno started. It was traditional too showy, too non actually a fit for our novel modern-industrial style. So it had to go.

Our novel trim back is sleek too modern. The lines are at nowadays too beautiful. I couldn’t live happier amongst how it all looks!

Then came the blinds…

These quondam plastic oculus sores had to go. My married adult man was sure that nosotros could nonetheless move them (bless his inexpensive dutch soul), but I squashed his plans. I actually don’t similar them at all, too I couldn’t hold off to supervene upon them!

I wanted something that wouldn’t live really expensive (good-bye beautiful bamboo shades….), that would permit a lot of low-cal inward (ahem.. basement bedroom), too something that would hold off peachy on its own. There are NO curtains existence added to this window.
Our local store, Sheer Illusions, came to the rescue! The staff pointed me to these beautiful faux forest blinds, They are the correct price, they hold off great, too they come upwardly inward a ton of shades. Perfect!

After reviewing all of the color options, nosotros decided to larn amongst Walnut. I honey the color on its ain too against our novel pigment colour.

I likewise honey the contrast of the novel blinds against the flooring too other forest elements inward the room. I honey mixing dissimilar stains too metals into the same room. Don’t live afraid to add together novel colours!!

Can’t hold off to hang these beautiful blinds from Sheer Illusions!
Although it doesn’t seem similar I did much this week… I DID grapple to larn simply about shopping done!! I institute a few affordable modern bedchamber decor pieces that volition live on display inward a brace of weeks when the room is ready! I can’t hold off to run across how it all comes together.
In the meantime, store for yourself! Enjoy :)
