Felted Faux Succulents

If you’ve e'er read my “About Me” page, you’ll know that I’m a self-taught crafter. Everything that I’ve tackled on this weblog started alongside a semi-failed initial attempt! Today, I’m sharing my start gamble inwards felting alongside some DIY felted succulents. Sharing the expert in addition to the bad… lol. 

I started yesteryear gathering the supplies I needed: a few colours of raw sheep’s wool, a felting needle (and replacements!), in addition to a foam block.

I genuinely ordered all of my supplies from a tiny footling Canadian fellowship called Bear Dance Crafts.

Once I had all of the supplies I needed, I elementary set the needle to the felt in addition to started shaping my succulents! I chose to brand succulents for my start projection because they bring a beautifully distinct await that I idea I could evidence to capture :) Make certain that y'all live on a foam surface, in addition to continue lifting your projection to ensure the felt doesn’t acquire attached to the foam!

Here’s how my felting experiment turned out:

For this start one, I used a classic deep green, in addition to only shaped all of the edges into ovals.

I wanted to role the deep regal for my minute succulent, but I realized chop-chop that it was difficult to differentiate the “leaves”, then I decided to add together some greyish felt, in addition to plough over each “leaf” a prissy border.

I stuck alongside my greyish border for the end succulent, but used a brighter coloring in addition to rounded off the “leaves”.

I however bring a LOT to larn inwards this area, but I’m sharing my learning experiences equally I go! I’m pretty happy most how these cute footling simulated succulents turned out :)
