DIY Baby Feather Headband
Are yous underwhelmed yesteryear the giant blossom headbands that everyone puts on their babe girls?
Or merely looking for something different?
Personally, I similar the blossom headbands, but I was too looking for something unique.
I’m actually loving feathers these days – on cards, on scrapbook pages… why non on headbands?
Here’s a quick as well as slowly tutorial on how to brand a plumage headband for your fiddling i :)
Materials:
Colourful elastic band
(I wouldn’t purpose generic elastic, hold back for a pretty headband one!)
Two colours of felt
Embroidery string to jibe your elastic colour
Scissors
Needles
The residual is really simple!
[Note: the sizes are perfect for my iv calendar month onetime girl]
1. Cut the background felt slice into a 10cm x 3cm rectangle, as well as the front end slice into a 5.5cm x 3cm (just under) piece.
2. Cut your elastic to 34cm.
3. To cutting the feathers, start plication them inwards one-half lengthwise. Then cutting a bend onto the bottom, as well as a indicate at the top. Unfold the rectangle to bring out the plumage shape. Then randomly cutting out unopen to notches to give the plumage texture.
4. Next I handstiched the ends of the elastic together alongside my embroidery thread.
5. Finally, I lined upwards the feathers where I wanted them on the elastic. I chose to set the feathers to the side then that the tip of them came close 1-2cm yesteryear the midpoint of the elastic band. Once the feathers are inwards place, mitt run upwards them on.
I was very happy alongside the terminate result! So much then that I went ahead a made a few more!
Some for my babe girl, as well as unopen to for babe shower gifts :)
Here are a brace pictures of my beautiful babe daughter rocking her plumage headband :)
Hope yous constitute unopen to inspiration!
