Baby’s First Flight

Just thinking virtually travelling amongst a babe gave me anxiety.

Thinking virtually doing it ALONE exclusively increased that anxiety. 

But nosotros had to try, because Ellie’s grandparents needed to run across their kickoff grandbaby!

So I braced myself for a long 24-hour interval on a plane amongst a five calendar month old.

I planned too prepared every bit best I could:

1. Picked flights that matched her nap/sleep schedules (as best I could!). The super early on flying was smashing because she slept the whole time!

2. Booked smashing seat! Windows, because I constitute it easier for breastfeeding, too the kickoff row on the long flying because it gave us lots of extra infinite (i.e. playing on the floor)

3. Packed carefully. Electronics that I didn’t desire inward my luggage (e.g. camera, iPad) too a babe handbag amount of diapers, changes of clothe (for both of us inward illustration of accidents or spit-ups!), too toys :) Also, I brought our go caput residuum because it made a overnice headrest for her on my lap spell she was breastfeeding, too spell she was playing.

4. Carried on pectus milk inward a minor go cooler. I brought fresh milk too kept it cool too and hence position it inward the freezer when I arrived. That agency I didn’t accept to worry virtually the milk thawing too beingness unusable too I didn’t accept to go amongst a pectus pump!

And she was a rock star.

Seriously the best babe inward the world!

Slept the whole kickoff flight. Played too talked for 2/3rds of the 2d flying too and hence slept the residuum of the way. She in all probability fussed for 10 minutes amount when y'all add together it all together, too that was because she was waiting for food, uncomfortable, or super tired too fix to autumn asleep.
